Although this is NOT part of the Health Service Report, the following is of importance to ALL members, and should be considered.

The Insurance Trust Fund of NYSRTA has sent, and will continue to send information to members regarding new opportunities that are available, so be sure to watch for the notices in the mail, and to read YORK STATE carefully. The following are items of importance:

1) There is a new opportunity offered called “Keepsake 201 Plan”. This is appropriate for retirees who invest in CDs with the intention of leaving them as a legacy to their children/grandchildren.

2) A program called “Today’s Options” has been designed for those who are eligible for Medicare and who pay for their own health insurance. Today’s Options is a new low-cost plan that may save retirees money while providing the benefits they need.

3) A new comprehensive Dental Plan was recently announced.

The INSURANCE TRUST FUND of NYSRTA, which has operated as the insurance affiliate of the association since 1963, is chaired by Mr. Terry Trudeau. The National Corporate Benefits Administrators Inc. (NCBA) continues to serve as the trust’s insurance advisor, and is making the above-mentioned programs available. Other insurances, such as: long term care, home care “only”, medicare supplemental, vision, hearing, and life insurance are also available. Additional information may be requested at 1-888-376-6020.
